I have over 22 years’ experience as a clinical social worker. Clinical social workers assess, diagnose, treat, and prevent mental illness, as well as emotional and behavioral disturbances. They may be referred to as Psychotherapists, Counselors or Therapists.

Over my career, I’ve had the honor of working with many interesting people. I’ve been a case manager for clients with HIV and AIDS, a medical social worker for patients in hospice care and a therapist helping clients work through a variety of mental and emotional health concerns. What has always amazed me, no matter the setting of my work, is the resiliency of the human spirit.

In addition to post graduate continuing education on a variety of topics related to clinical social work, I recently completed additional training in trauma treatment. As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional - Level 2, I now have the tools to better treat those clients who have a history of trauma.

“What has always amazed me, no matter the setting of my work, is the resiliency of the human spirit.”
